Membership

Returning members or new members to the club beginning in Michaelmas term must complete the online membership form and pay membership fees by the time of the Fresher’s Varsity Match. For new members joining at a later time, membership registration and payment must be completed within three weeks of first training with the club.

Failure to do so will result in first a warning from the club followed by being disallowed to train at CUAC sessions and use CUAC facilities until membership registration and payment has been completed.

CUAC will not pay for or subsidise competitions, physiotherapy or indoor training as outlined below until membership registration and payment has been completed.

Competitions

CUAC will arrange competition entries and transport for the following competitions (dependant on membership level):

• Varsity

• Fresher’s Varsity

• Varsity Field Events and Relays (VFEAR)

• Cambridgeshire County Championships

• RAF Invitational Match (indoors and outdoors)

• London Indoor Games

• BUCS (indoors and outdoors)

CUAC will pay entry fee only for the following competitions (dependant on membership level):

• SEAA Indoor Championships

• SESSA Championships

For each of the above competitions it is assumed that you will compete for CUAC and will wear the official CUAC vest.

If you need to withdraw from an event due to injury, please let your Captain know immediately. Failure to let your Captain know in advance that you will not be competing will result in the cost of the entry fee being passed directly to the athlete concerned. In addition to this, failure to attend an event can result in the club being issued a fine. Such fines, or those issued as a result of poor athlete behaviour, will be passed directly to the athlete concerned.

CUAC may pay for or subsidise additional competitions and/or transport if it is deemed that it would be beneficial in the build up to a Varsity match. For more information or to make a request, please contact the President.

Physiotherapy

CUAC will endeavour to have a physiotherapist at club training sessions on a regular basis for athlete use. Otherwise CUAC will aim to subsidise fees paid by an athlete for therapy, subject to availability. Applications for subsidies should be made to the President prior to arranging such sessions.

Indoor Training

CUAC will endeavour to organise full club indoor training sessions during winter, primarily in preparation for VFEAR. CUAC will pay transport costs, but not the training costs, of such trips. Squad leaders and athletes that are interested in organising additional indoor sessions should contact the President prior to arranging such sessions.

Sporting Grant Applications

CUAC will support its full members in their applications for sporting grants from sources such as The Hawks’ Charitable Trust, The Eric Evans Fund and colleges. For more information, please contact the Honorary Secretary.
